Director of Research and Education

DRE - Lesley Knoll

I joined Lacawac Sanctuary in January 2012 as the Director of Research and Education.

DRE message

I am a broadly trained aquatic ecologist and have worked extensively in streams, lakes, and human-made impoundments. My interests include lake-watershed interactions, ecosystem ecology, and biogeochemistry. My research largely examines community-level and ecosystem-level responses of aquatic systems to human disturbances, such as degraded watershed land use.
