The NatureStay Initiative invites local hospitality businesses to play a direct role in protecting the forests, lakes, and wildlife of the Northern Poconos. It’s a unique opportunity to unite businesses and guests in a shared mission: conservation, sustainability, and stewardship of our region’s natural treasures.

The NatureStay Initiative invites local hospitality businesses to play a direct role in protecting the forests, lakes, and wildlife of the Northern Poconos. It’s a unique opportunity to unite businesses and guests in a shared mission: conservation, sustainability, and stewardship of our region’s natural treasures.
🌿 How It Works
Participating hospitality partners support Lacawac Sanctuary through an annual 100% tax-deductible donation made at the beginning or end of the summer season (minimum donation of $250). This streamlined approach makes giving easy while creating meaningful conservation impact.
In return, Lacawac provides:
- Custom brochure holders for every room/cabin or for the lobbies/public areas
- Brochures/trail maps highlighting Lacawac Sanctuary and its public trails
- Participating lodgings are also listed on our website.
- Highligthing partners through social media posts, helping promote your business to our engaged audience.
Each brochure holder includes a note for guests:
“Your stay supports Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation and its nonprofit mission dedicated to preserving our region’s natural beauty and environmental health.”
Partners choose a flat, one-time seasonal donation level that aligns with their business size and capacity.
