Wine in the Woods: A Science-Inspired Evening at Lacawac is a memorable evening of fine wine, delicious food, and engaging conversation set amid the natural beauty of Lacawac Sanctuary. Guests will savor curated selections from Three Hammers Winery, paired with complimentary fare from Roadside Bistro, while connecting with the people who make Lacawac extraordinary—including the scientists and naturalists who study and steward the sanctuary’s forests, waters, and wildlife. Along the way, discover the fascinating science behind winemaking and how nature, chemistry, and craftsmanship come together in every glass.

Throughout the evening, guests can browse informal poster displays that offer easy, engaging snapshots of the work happening at Lacawac—from the forests and trails to the lake and surrounding ecosystems. These displays are designed to spark curiosity and conversation, not overwhelm—no science background required.

Wine in the Woods is about slowing down, savoring the moment, and connecting with nature, community, and the people who care for this special place.
