Summer Camp ManagerJob Summary:
The Summer Camp Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Lacawac’s summer camps, including program planning, staff supervision, and camper safety. The Summer Camp Manager contributes to the well-being of our community by providing safe, supportive, affordable, educational experiences for whole families to enjoy by developing engaging summer activities. The Summer Camp Manager helps lead summer camp education for children in Grades K through 6. Reports to: Assistant Director of School Programs Job Type: Seasonal. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday from May 19 - August 29, 2025. Summer Camp CounselorJob Summary:
Lacawac Sanctuary is looking for an energetic and creative individual to teach at our summer camps. This educator will work with the 5 to 12 year-old campers. This is a nature-based camp that is both educational and fun. The camp itself will run for 8 weeks from the end of June to the middle of August, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This position would be a full day from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Additional week of counselor training just prior to camp required. PLEON InternshipThe Pocono Lake Ecological Observatory Network, or PLEON, is a lake monitoring program based at Lacawac Sanctuary. PLEON conducts routine lake monitoring, hosts public education workshops focused on promoting good lake stewardship, and runs a community-led water quality monitoring program on Pennsylvania’s 3rd largest lake, Lake Wallenpaupack.
PLEON seeks an undergraduate intern to assist with all aspects of the PLEON program. Interns will gain experience and training in:

Science InternLacawac interns participate in the Sanctuary’s missions of Research, Education, and Preservation. Interns spend considerable time participating in field work and laboratory analysis, educational and public programs for all ages, outreach activities, trail maintenance, and event preparation/clean-up.
