We know that you want a venue that is as unique as you are, so we are proud to present Lacawac Sanctuary, a historic and rustic venue on the National Registry of Historic Places. The place is filled with historic charm, from the thick wooden beams in the carriage house, to the original hardwood floors in the lodge, and of course the charm of a beautiful nature sanctuary.  We make sure that the space is perfect for you and your party. We can host wedding and baby showers for up to 75 people!

Lacawac Sanctuary is a nature center, environmental education facility, ecological research station and historic venue located in the heart of the Northern Poconos on the shore of Lake Wallenpaupack.  For 50 years we have been providing hands-on educational opportunities for Pre-K students through graduate work.   We recognize that science is but one way of knowing; we actively promote arts and humanities and connect our visitors to nature and knowledge about the world around us.

Lacawac offers a private, intimate venue for your Baby or Bridal Shower. Enjoy a 4hour event rental of the Historic Watres Lodge or Carriage House, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. You may have two hours to set up and two hours to clean up.  We can accommodate from up to 40 guests in the Lodge and up to 75 guests in the Carriage House guests. Ample parking is available.  You may provide your own food and beverages or use one of preferred caterers. We also offer Tea Party Packages in the Lodge for up to 40 guests.
