Wayne Bank Supports Lacawac Sanctuary

Honesdale, PA – Lewis J Critelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that the Bank will support the Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation with a donation through the Educational Improvement Organization Program.

Lacawac Sanctuary’s President, Craig Lukatch, accepted a check in the amount of $3,000.00 from Mr. Critelli.
The gift was made possible as a result of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.

“Wayne Bank is proud to be able to support the Lacawac Sanctuary through this program,” stated Mr. Critelli. “The sanctuary is one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most beautiful natural locations and we are so pleased to contribute to this valuable community space.”

Lacawac Sanctuary is a 550 acre nature center, environmental education center, and biological field station located on the Shore of Lake Wallenpaupack in the Northern Poconos. The Sanctuary boasts a pristine glacial lake, Lake Lacawac, a natural boreal bog, the Wallenpaupack Ledges Natural Area, a native plants garden, demonstration forest/deer exclosure plots, six public hiking trails, and the National Historic Registered “Adirondack Great Camp” complex including the 1903 Historic Watres Lodge.
